Curbless Shower and Grab Bar Planning

A curbless shower entry and properly placed grab bar blocking are most effectively planned during a remodel, before walls are closed, rather than added later as a reaction to a fall or a mobility change. Curbless entries depend on floor structure and drain placement decided early, while grab bar blocking costs little to add during construction even if bars are not installed immediately. Planning both at the outset avoids a second, more disruptive project later.
